Introduction and Purpose

I was freaked out when I first learned that we have to do a blog, a twitter account and join the twibe. I have never experienced doing a blog in my whole existence. I was shocked to know that me, the technologically challenged individual is obliged to do a blog. What blog? How do I do it?

As I read and look up all the resources that could teach me on how to do the blogging, I realized that it is somehow interesting. In Marc Prensy's Digital Native, Digital Immigrant I am neither categorized as an immigrant, especially not a native. I also realized that in this generation, in order to be an effective teacher, one should embrace the fact that technology is the new language that everyone is talking and in order to understand and speak that language, one should at least try to learn.

I have been afraid and anxious about this innovation but I have a strong faith that I would be the best teacher that I want myself to be. So here I am, squeezing myself to gain that knowledge and adopt to the new world of technologies and I am hoping that with this, I will be able to impart the utmost way of acquiring knowledge to my future students.

Why am I doing this blog?

This activity- writing down my first-hand experiences in the school; observing and getting around the students, taking notes of the teacher's classroom management will surely help me  reflect on what I have learned and what I still need to learn. This will help me evaluate my "do' and dont's" when I get my chance to be the one conducting lessons, discussions, and activities for the children. This will really help me look back, improve the way I teach and improve myself as a person.

I chose to share my thoughts and feelings about teaching  because I know that I will get informations, insights,  and support  for my teaching advancement here.
